Circus Summer Holiday12/08/2019
So far, it has been a circus summer holiday for me! It is a rather different summer holiday this year as I registered as self employed in May and set up my own pet sitting business on the Wirral. (Sorry for the shameless plug but it is relevant, honest.) Until I have regular clients, I needed additional employment and have been fortunate to have some circus work.
My main summer holiday circus work has been six, two hour sessions at a kids summer scheme. Each session has two aerial teachers with the kids who want to do circus. There are four different aerial teachers so the children get to learn different disciplines. Last week I did two of the sessions and found it very rewarding as all the children learnt new things and improved greatly. Some hadn’t done circus before whereas others were quite experienced. I am looking forward to the rest of this work.
Personally, I haven’t been able to go to as many of my usual circus sessions. 🙁 But what I have been to has been amazing. A friend has got me back into fire poi and I’ve even had a go with fire fans. My daughter has found her love of lyra again. She has been with me to open sessions and been a guinea pig for my routines to teach at the holiday club. So it has been a circus summer holiday for the whole family.
I would just like to say a massive thank you to my friends who are keeping their eye out for relevant work for me.
Thank you to Mrs Aerial Boots for the opportunity of working on her social media and my gorgeous gaiters. You will be seeing more of these boots as they are fabulous; especially with my new love of aerial chains.
Thank you to all the circus companies that have given me work!
